3H Perth

About us

3H Perth is a branch of the 3H program designed to introduce a new way of learning and extend the education of Perth primary school students outside the Western Australian Curriculum. We are a future-focused student run branch, that encourage adaptive, progressive outside the box thinkers in this ever-changing society. All our workshops are planned and taught by competent and ambitious mentors that have a passion for teaching and learning but above all capable and generous individuals who have put their hand up to volunteer. We believe in providing an opportunity for all kids through our free workshops to encourage and inspire a love for learning and meet new friends!

Meet us

I'm Fionna and I'm 17 years old. Since youth, I've always felt the most confident in maths and science, but gradually began exploring other subjects, such as history, music and literature.

Outside studies, I've been involved in rowing, volleyball, debating and music. I've been playing the flute since Year 7, and have been in several symphony orchestras for musicals and concertos, several choirs and ensembles. My goal as a part of 3H, is to cultivate my own experience as a leader and mentor, along with piquing the interest of students in subjects which they aren't normally exposed to in the school curriculum.

My name is Eliza and I'm 18 years old. My interests are endless, from science to the arts, and being able to explore these various disciplines of education through 3H is extremely fulfilling for me. Sharing my passion of such subjects with the young students and seeing the excitement in their eyes during the workshops is what drove me to apply as a 3H mentor.

Alongside this role I am also on my schools Student Leadership Council and have participated in a variety of cocurricular including Mock Trials, WADL debating, volleyball, rowing, backstage crew, Tournament of Minds and more. Exploring a variety of activities has encouraged me to meet new people and learn valuable skills, as our 3H workshops aim to do.

Grace

Perth Lead General Admin

I have been apart of 3H since 2020 as a General Admin and Mentor as well as founding the Perth Branch of the Program in 2022. My role entails working within the Perth Administrative Team to plan the logistics behind the program including recruiting mentors, graphic design, marketing and managing our social media.

Outside of 3H I also partake in alternative leadership roles and volunteering. I’ve volunteered with the world transplant games in 2023, been an event planner for LittleDreamers and volunteered with Vinnies consistently for a year, accumulating over 240 community service hours over 4 years. I love sports and have notably been a competitive swimmer and synchronised figure skater at state and national levels; placing 5th at the Australian Figure Skating Championships 2016. I additionally received University of Melbourne Hansen Scholarship in 2024 and will be studying science.

By starting as a mentor before promoting into an admin role, I've had experience in a multitude of jobs. These range from planning the logistics of a workshop to interviewing new mentors. As a more social person, I also take it upon myself to reach out to more people to get numbers for workshops and to find new members to join the 3H community.

Outside of 3H I participate in various extracurricular activities, whether they are academic, musical, or sports related. This has allowed me to attain skills such as playing the violin and public speaking. With over 10 extracurricular activities to juggle at any given time during the school year, I ensure to prioritise my academics having maintained a position in the top 5% of my year since year 7.
